Weatherboard & Fence Stains
Durable exterior protection to enhance and extend the life of your timber
Cabot's Weatherboard & Fence Stains provide durable protection for exterior timber without hiding the natural beauty of the grain. Formulated with durable pigments and oils, stains will minimise environmental damage and strengthen the timber's natural defences.
A Weatherboard & Fence Stain is the ideal finish when you wish to minimise the maintenance required with traditional paint finishes. No need to sand and scrape, simply wash down your faded timber with Cabot's Kleenwood and apply additional coats of Weatherboard & Fence Stain until you reach the level of opacity required. One coat gives a semi-transparent finish, where two coats reaches a higher level of opacity and more vibrant colour.

Maintenance
Inspect coating annually and recoat when water repellency is lost. Recoating is an expected part of the maintenance of stained weatherboards, decks, and furniture. The frequency is dependent on the UV and weather exposure, foot traffic, timber type, number of coats, depth of colour applied, and product chosen. Clears and oils will typically need annual maintenance. Stains may require maintenance after two summers.
